Allen “DJ Ridd” Riddick was born into a home filled with music, inspired by his father, Chester Riddick, a prominent DJ in 1960s and ’70s Philadelphia. At 14, Ridd began his DJ journey using his father’s records and turntables before quickly building his own business. Mentored by DJ Gereld “World Wide Webb” of Tuff Crew, Ridd honed his craft, developing a diverse musical style and a strong understanding of business.
By 16, Ridd was earning $800 a week, spinning everything from hip hop to techno across South Jersey clubs. After high school, he expanded his reach at the University of Delaware, dominating campus events and concerts. Post-college, Ridd co-founded DNA BEATs with Dnali Blu, producing tracks for major artists like Meek Mill, Rick Ross, and Gucci Mane, with their music featured on stations like Power 99FM.
Now, as a corporate executive by day and DJ by night, Ridd balances business leadership with his passion for music. Known for his authenticity and connection to the community, he continues to embody the spirit of a “real DJ,” blending culture, creativity, and professionalism.
